Fashion - Makeup - Photography
Fashion has been my guiding beacon since I was very young. I do not have any formal training in fashion design, but I do strive to make works of art that fit into specific themes of my shoots. I have been able to create unique pieces without needing to have been trained. It has allowed me to see that beauty fluid and does not have to be contained within a box. My ideas of fashion are inspired by the great designers Alexander McQueen, Thierry Mugler and Gianni Versace. My style is conceptual and avant-garde fashion, due to the over-the-top theatrical style that appeals to me. The idea of storytelling through fashion is how I began. I am inspired by all stories that women have told me and I hope to celebrate all of these stories of strength and resilience.
Fashion and beauty have a symbiotic relationship. I decided to learn makeup to take full control over my shoots. I have spent the past three years working with clients, models, artists and friends in order to help them achieve moments of joy with the power of makeup. There is nothing more gratifying than seeing a client look in the mirror and see that I focus on them as whole to capture their natural beauty. Concerning my shoots, I enjoy adding more creative elements to push a narrative that can be interpreted in many different ways. I am inspired by makeup artists like Pat McGrath, Miss Fame and Lisa Eldridge. In both of the galleries on this page, the makeup is the true star and is making the images shine.
I began my obsession with photography in 2010 and I have worked in studio, event, product and fashion photography. My work has grown due to my education in fine arts at Florida International University. Photography has helped me create countless makeup looks and designs. I have recently discovered set design as well, which can be seen in my "Red Room" photoshoot. My formal training has greatly expanded from creative shoots; I have also done pictures for weddings, private events, and product shoots. My experience with makeup has grown exponentially in the past 3 years and has been featured in the work of Chris Verene, a New York-based photographer. All that I have taught myself has allowed my photographs to flourish. I can do the job of an entire team at a photoshoot. I design clothing, create the makeup looks and shoot the pictures and that is rare to find. It also allows a vast amount of consistency.
